1. Introduction and Acceptance

By creating a campaign on Fund4Me, you agree to comply with these Identity and Campaign Verification Terms and Conditions (“Verification Terms”). These terms are in addition to our main Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Your use of our verification system constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Verification Requirements Overview

All campaign creators must complete identity verification before their campaigns can be approved. This includes:

  • Identity Document Verification: Photo of government-issued identification
  • Selfie Verification: Live selfie to confirm identity

  • Mobile Device Only: Campaign creation and verification are restricted to smartphones only
  • Camera Access Required: You must grant camera permissions to capture verification photos
  • Live Photo Capture: All verification photos must be taken directly using your device’s camera
  • No Screen Photos: Screenshots, photos of screens, or photos of photos are strictly prohibited

  • Flat Surface: Document should be placed on a flat surface
  • No Damage: Document should not be folded, torn, or damaged in the photo

The following will result in automatic rejection:

  • Blurry, unclear, or illegible images
  • Partial document images
  • Documents with significant glare or shadows

For campaigns under ₦1,000,000:

  • Live Selfie: Use your device’s front-facing camera
  • Full Face Visible: Your entire face must be clearly visible
  • Good Lighting: Ensure your face is well-lit and clearly distinguishable
  • No Filters: Do not use filters, effects, or photo editing
  • Direct Camera Capture: Must be taken directly with camera, not from gallery or screenshots

4.2 High-Value Campaign Requirements

For campaigns ₦1,000,000 and above:

  • ID Card Visible: Hold your government-issued ID card next to your face
  • Both Clearly Visible: Both your face and the ID card must be clearly visible
  • Readable Text: Text on the ID card should be readable in the selfie
  • No Obstruction: ID card should not obstruct your face
  • Same Document: Must be the same document used for identity verification

4.3 Selfie Photo Standards

  • No Screenshots: Screenshots of selfies are strictly prohibited
  • Original Capture: Must be taken with your device’s camera at time of submission
  • Natural Expression: Normal facial expression, looking directly at camera
  • No Accessories: Remove sunglasses, masks, or face coverings
  • Single Person: Only you should appear in the selfie

5. Supporting Documentation (Optional)

5.1 Purpose and Benefits

  • Provides additional credibility to your campaign
  • Particularly important for medical or emergency campaigns
  • Helps build donor trust and confidence
  • May influence verification status

  • Maximum 8 Documents: You may upload up to 8 supporting documents
  • Clear Description: Provide a brief description for each document
  • Original Photos: All documents must be photographed directly with your camera
  • Relevant Content: Documents must be relevant to your campaign purpose

  • Minimum Resolution: Images must be clear and readable
  • File Size: Images will be automatically compressed to under 300KB
  • Supported Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF only
  • Color and Contrast: Sufficient contrast for text readability

  • Natural or Bright Light: Use good lighting conditions
  • No Glare: Avoid reflective surfaces and direct light sources
  • Stable Capture: Hold device steady to avoid motion blur

  • Fund Forfeiture: Loss of any funds raised through fraudulent campaigns

  • Internet Connection: Stable internet connection for uploads
