CrowdBuy Terms and Policies

These CrowdBuy Terms and Policies (“Terms”) govern all CrowdBuy activities organized and managed by Okmall.ng (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By participating in a CrowdBuy on our platform, you (“user,” “participant,” or “customer”) agree to comply with these Terms. Please read carefully before purchasing a slot.

1. Eligibility

  • 1.1 Participants must be 18 years of age or older to join a CrowdBuy.
  • 1.2 Participation is open to residents of Nigeria with a valid Okmall.ng account.
  • 1.3 By purchasing slots, you confirm that all personal and contact details provided are accurate and truthful.

2. Nature of CrowdBuy

  • 2.1 CrowdBuy is a community-powered shopping feature where participants collectively contribute to make products more accessible and affordable.
  • 2.2 Each CrowdBuy product is divided into a fixed number of slots, with each slot priced to cover the total product cost plus logistics.
  • 2.3 Participants may purchase one or more slots. Each slot equals one entry in the automated allocation process. Purchasing additional slots increases representation in the process but does not guarantee selection.

3. Entry Rules

  • 3.1 CrowdBuy participation is open while slots are available. Once all slots are filled, the automated allocation process is triggered.
  • 3.2 Multiple slot purchases by the same participant are allowed and are counted fairly in the system.
  • 3.3 Slot purchases are final and non-refundable, except if a CrowdBuy event is cancelled by Okmall.ng.

4. Allocation & Transparency

  • 4.1 Once all slots are filled, the system automatically and fairly allocates the product to one participant.
  • 4.2 The process is 100% automated and free from human interference.
  • 4.3 For transparency, the name of the selected participant, along with the list of all participants, will be published on the Okmall.ng platform.
  • 4.4 If the listed product becomes unavailable before a CrowdBuy concludes, the selected participant will be offered one of the following options:
    • Choose an alternative product of equal value within the same price category, or
    • Receive a cash reward equal to the product’s value minus a 15% service and processing fee.

5. Product Delivery

  • 5.1 CrowdBuy products are fulfilled via dropshipping, and delivery timelines may vary depending on supplier availability and logistics.
  • 5.2 The product will be delivered to the address provided by the selected participant at the time of entry.
  • 5.3 Okmall.ng is not responsible for failed deliveries caused by incomplete, incorrect, or outdated delivery information provided by participants.

6. General Conditions

  • 6.1 By participating, you grant Okmall.ng the right to use your name and participation details for promotional and transparency purposes (such as publishing results), unless prohibited by law.
  • 6.2 Okmall.ng reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any CrowdBuy if circumstances require.
  • 6.3 Okmall.ng is not liable for technical failures, fraudulent activity, or system errors that may affect participation.
  • 6.4 These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the most recent version.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
